Gift Shops

The Museum Gift Shop is currently closed, however we look forward to reopening with a fresh range of vintage, antique-inspired and educational gifts, as well as Tasmanian history books and historical novels. Our friendly Museum staff are still able to assist you with the purchase of historical reprints from our collection.

The Art Gallery Gift Shop has grown from originally stocking only a limited range of cards to expanding into the entrance area. The aim is to assist, preferably Tasmanian, but also interstate artists by displaying and offering for sale their high quality art works. This includes ceramics, glass plates, leadlight birds on driftwood, sea glass pictures, jewellery, textiles and hand bound paper journals. There is also locally made wooden pieces made from Tasmanian wood including sassafras, blackwood and Huon pine and music and poetry CD’s. We stock a wide range of commercial cards plus hand made and silk painted cards as well as books and in-house catalogues.

From time to time we will highlight the work of individual artists.
