Burnie Print Prize Winner 2021

The Burnie Regional Art Gallery’s Burnie Print Prize has announced the winner of the 2021 competition, the Major prize of $15,000 has been awarded to Annika Romeyn from ACT with her watercolour monotype Guerilla Bay 3.

The Burnie Regional Art Gallery’s flagship exhibition and competition, the Burnie Print Prize celebrates the highest standards of printmaking in Australia and Oceania.

As one of Australia’s richest and most prestigious printmaking awards, the competition underscores the importance of this arduous and exacting medium.

JUDGES

Dianne Fogwell, Artist, printmaker, curator, lecturer, co-founder Studio One Print Shop and founder/Director of the Criterion Press.

Dr Roderick Ewins, Artist, printmaker, Adjunct Researcher UTAS, former head of the Tasmanian School of Arts.

Tracey Cockburn, Artist, printmaker, Arts & Cultural Development Coordinator - Clarence City Council.
